Meet Abby & Liz

Friends since high school, sisters-in-law, and opposites in so many ways, Abby and Liz are an unlikely pair to co-author a book. For most of the writing process they lived on different continents; and they have 7 kids between them so when the idea to write a book came to Abby back in 2017, neither of them felt the most qualified or capable. In addition, neither of them had any idea what an undertaking writing Daughter, Disciple would be! After 3 years of working during nap times and evenings, the book was released in December 2020.

So as God would have it, it is their unique perspectives on what God has taught them that really make this book. Scroll down to learn a little more about them.

— Liz Robbins —

I grew up as a missionary kid in Europe (France & Hungary) until high school when I moved to Baltimore, MD, USA with my family. After high school I got my Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology — yes, I am a nerd. During college I started dating my now husband, Roger. After graduating, I went to Maryland Bible College & Seminary and got an Associates Degree in Biblical Studies. My husband and I got married in 2008 and now have 3 children, Paige, Hazel and Roger ‘Dodge’. In 2017, we moved as a family to Izmir, Turkey where we were pioneering a new church plant. I spent my days homeschooling my kids as well as being a team member, leader and friend to the women in our new church. We are now back in the US and I look forward to what God has for me to do here. It has been incredible life adventure so far and I shake my head in awe of God’s goodness almost every day.

Liz loves to travel, bake, read, and occasionally powder ski. More than anything she loves to introduce people to Jesus and remind others of who they are in Christ.

— Abby Lange —

Hi, m

y name is Abby. I am originally from Youngstown, Ohio. I moved to Baltimore, Maryland for high school over 20 years ago. After graduating high school, I went to college where I got a Bachelor’s in Political Science. I got married to my husband Brian in 2007, and we four children.

I love the opportunity God has given me to be loved and to love the people around me. My life goal is to be a friend, and to build people up. I do not always do that well, but I am ever learning.

Abby loves to read, make stuff, and hang out with her family. She loves opening her home to friends and families, providing hospitality and community around their big dining room table.
